UNAN (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua)

UNAN is a Public University, funded by the government, but operates as an independent entity. It offers the following courses: 

UCA offers the following courses:

  • Education (teaching)
  • Computer Science
  • Systems Engineering
  • Chemistry
  • English (for teaching)

The disadvantages of this University are:

  • A very tough admissions exam.
  • Their involvement in political issues resulting in strikes and suspension of classes.
